Bee removal can be tricky and dangerous depending on the situation. If you're trying to remove a swarm of bees from a roof, doing so without protective gear can be extremely risky. On the other hand, if you're looking to remove a lone bee on your property, killing it is the safest option.

There are several different approaches to bee removal: spraying them with insecticides; capturing them in jars and releasing them further away; using smoke to confuse them; or getting a professional exterminator. The type of approach that is best for you depends on the situation. The most important thing is to be safe while removing bees.

The best defense against bees is to keep them away by preventing the first hive from ever getting established. There are a number of ways to prevent hives from taking root in your yard: 1. Remove peeling paint, woodpiles and other potential nesting sites. 2. Remove any vegetation that overhangs rooftops, such as ivy or fig trees. 3. Use an insecticide when you first see the bees; this will drive them away and make it harder for new hives to set up camp in the same location. 4. Close off all openings to your yard by boarding up any openings that may allow bees entry. 5. Install barriers such as netting, fencing or boards that can be covered with tarps to keep bees out of areas where they aren’t wanted. 6. Keep a garden hose close by in case you need to knock down a hive quickly – don’t try to spray them with pesticides directly, though, as that may kill the colony and cause more problems than it solves!

Professional Bee Removal is sometimes warranted for homeowners and businesses. Bees can cause a tremendous amount of damage to property, both by stinging people as well as by destroying crops and plants. These stings can be painful and can lead to allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Stopping the spread of bees can mean the difference between having a thriving garden or one that struggles to grow enough food to feed everyone in the family.

Fortunately, there are ways you can protect your property from bee infestation.  Placing bee-repellent plants around your home will keep bees from settling in. These plants are usually very aromatic and have a strong scent that bees find distasteful. Try placing them near windows, doors, and other places where bees might be able to enter your home. You should also try to keep bees away from your property by using traps or repellents made specifically for this purpose.

Ultimately, if you find yourself in need of professional bee removal, contact Bullseye Pest Management toll Free and 800-466-4451 or locally in Arlington at 682-472-4435

Why use bee removal for utilities and businesses?

Bee removal is necessary when a colony of bees has been discovered at an electrical substation, on an electrical pole or transmission tower, or on a utility line. In the case of an electrical field, a bee removal team can be sent to protect the public and the electrical system. Bee removal is also an essential component of businesses that deal with bees for production, harvesting, or transporting of honey or pollinating crops. These businesses require bee removal when honey bees are found inside or around equipment such as honey extractors or beehives. The primary reason businesses choose to use bee removal is to protect their workers and equipment from stings. In the past, bee removal was only used to prevent property damage caused by honey bees. But now, bee removal is being used to protect property as well.

How does Bee pest control work?

The best and most effective way to fight off any unwanted pests is by understanding and getting to know their behaviors. In order to understand their behaviors and how they interact with your property, you first have to understand exactly who they are and what they look like. There are many types of bees. The most common is the European honey bee, and there are also bumblebees and yellow-jackets. When fighting off pests, you have to be cautious because not all bees are created equally. You want to use a pest control company that is specifically trained to handle honey bees and their treatment methods. Honey bees are amazing creatures. They are the only insects that produce honey. The amazing part is that these insects can be used for commercial purposes, like agriculture or in the cosmetics industry. Honey bees can be used to help make food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, which is why they are so important. Along with honey bees, you will also find bumblebees and yellow-jacket pests. These are also important to be aware of. The reason why they are important is because they pollinate plants, which makes them very important, as well.

Why you need bee removal for your business

Bee removal is an essential service for businesses confronted with bee infestation. Bee removal is important for these reasons: - Protection from stings - When you have honey bees on the property, they are more likely to sting someone. This means that you will have to wear protective clothing and use an anti-sting product. Fortunately, honey bees are usually gentle, non-aggressive insects. If a honey bee stings someone, they will usually only sting the person once. Most of the time, only the bee will die. Without bees, many plants would not have seeds that need to be pollinated. Without seeds, many plants would not have fruit on them, which would mean that we would not have food.

A lot of the pest control out there is, "See this kind of bug, spray can A, see that kind of bug, spray can B." And this kind of pest control relies on these chemicals wearing out about every 30 days so that a monthly retreatment becomes the norm. This kind of pest control keeps you on the hook of a monthly payment and accomplishes the bare minimum of keeping bugs at bay.

The difference in Bullseye Pest Management is noticeable. "We had Steve out in March and haven't seen a one through August. We'll probably have him treat for the Fall, but I don't expect to see him again until after Winter," says verified customer Matt G.

Termites cause billions of dollars in damage to U.S. homes each year. Having your home inspected for termites is important. The thought of having termites is frightening. These destructive insects eat away at your biggest investment. Termites tunnel underground to reach your property, often escaping detection. If you notice any obvious indications of termites around your home, you should contact Bullseye Pest Management immediately. During treatment certified applicator Steve Moseley will apply Termidor around your home and around your property's perimeter. Waterlines are one of many popular accesses for termites, so Bullseye Pest Management will pay attention for every possible spots where termites could enter your slab.

Since Termidor is odorless, termites are not aware that they are coming into contact with a lethal material. In addition, the substance has a transference attribute, which means that if a termite touches it and then touches another termite, it may pass the termiticide to the next individual. A single application of Termidor can eradicate your entire termite population in as little as three months and protect your property for over a decade after treatment.

Bedbug Treatment By Bullseye Pest Management In Arlington Texas

Call Bullseye Pest Management for Effective Bed Bug Treatment

Bed Bugs are small, blood-sucking insects that look a lot like ticks. You can find them in bedding and furniture, on clothes and in other places where people live.

There are four types of bedbug: the common bedbug (Cimex lectularius), the tropical bedbug (Aphidius fuscus), the striped bedbug (Rhipicephalus sanguinellus) and the wolf-bedbug (Cimex hemipterus). There are also several other species of bedbugs that don’t fit into these categories.

Bed Bugs feed by sucking your blood through tiny puncture wounds in your skin. They can cause itching, redness, swelling and may lead to secondary infections if they get into your bloodstream. Bedbugs can be hard to control because they are found everywhere, including hotels, shelters, public transportation and even hospitals.

Bed Bugs usually bite at night while you’re sleeping or just after you wake up. They tend to be more active in warm weather and when there is a lot of activity in the environment, so it’s best to be diligent when you’re away from home and at risk for exposure.

If there’s an infestation, you should call Bullseye Pest Management as soon as possible. Over the decades Bullseye Pest Management has developed a proprietary process for dealing with Bed Bugs that has been reviewed and preferred by Hotel and Apartment owners for its effectiveness over mainstream treatments. Call Bullseye Pest Management toll free at 800-466-4451 or locally in Arlington and surrounding DFW at 682-472-4435.

Bullseye Pest Management Bed Bugs Treatment

The bedbug is the most common infestation in the United States. They are small, flattened, oval insects that look like tiny ticks. They feed on blood, and can be found hiding in beds, furniture, and other places that people sleep. They are hard to see and can be difficult to get rid of.

When you have a bedbug infestation, you need to get rid of them as soon as possible. This will prevent them from spreading to other areas and having a larger impact on your life.

Most people have heard of bed bugs, but not many know how to properly get rid of them. They can be hard to spot, and they can live in places other than your mattress. Because they prefer warm places they can hide in appliances and electronics in your bedroom, so they may not be readily spotted on a mattress. If you think you have bedbugs, call Bullseye Pest Management. We use advanced methods that will get rid of these pests for good!  Call or text Bullseye Pest Management locally at 682 472 4435 or call toll free from anywhere across DFW and beyond at 800 466 4451.

Call Bullseye Pest Management for Pest Trapping and Exclusion Work

Exclusion work is the process of eliminating any access points for rodents and solving any underlying issues that may be creating an environment where pests are able to thrive. These can include leaky plumbing, drafts in basements, or holes in the walls that provide easy access to the outside. Exclusion work can also be part of a more comprehensive pest management program that includes both non-invasive and lethal methods tailored to your specific needs.

In order to do effective exclusion work, you need to know what type of pest is present. Bullseye Pest Management will use visual inspection and specialized traps to tell if rodents are present. If you’re unsure which species is causing problems, Bullseye Pest Management can identify unseen pests based on location of nesting, damage, waste and entries. Once you’ve confirmed that there are rodents in your home or business, there are several things Bullseye Pest Management can do to prevent them from coming back. Both external and internal exclusion work can help.

External exclusion work involves removing all potential entry points such as holes in walls, gaps between doors, cracks or crevices near the ground, or loose shingles. This is especially important if you have outdoor access points such as broken windows or doors that are not properly sealed shut.

To effectively exclude rodents from your property, Bullseye Pest Management must cover all potential entry points, including cracks in the foundation, gaps around windows and door frames, and gaps around electrical cords. This can involve sealing up holes in the walls with caulk or expanding foam. Finally, it is important to keep the area clean and sanitary. Make sure trash cans are kept closed and that there are no food items stored around your home. It is important to remember that even if you take all these steps, there may still be a chance that a rodent will find its way into your home if you do not keep conditions sanitary and not conducive to feeding rodents.

If you suspect that you have a rodent infestation or know that you need pest trapping and removal and or exclusion work, contact Bullseye Pest Management toll free at 800-466-4451 or locally in Arlington at 682-472-4435.

Protecting Your Home From Harmful Pests

In any home, pests can easily make their way in and set up residence. Even the cleanest of homes can have pests if they have opportunities to flourish. Many pest problems are easy to avoid with some simple precautions, while others might take a bit more effort. Either way, a strategic plan can keep your home safe from most pests. If you’re dealing with pests in your home, these tips may help you get them under control before they spread and grow into a bigger problem. We hope that this article about pest management helps you identify whether or not you have any unwanted guests living in your home and provides advice on how to prevent them from coming back again!

Be on the lookout for signs of dangerous pests

Some pests are more problematic than others. If you see signs of any of these pests, pay special attention to keep them out of your home. - Ants- Ants are often a problem in warmer climates and can be difficult to control. If you have ants, find out what food source they’re after and take it away from them. You can also try putting down ant bait. - Bed bugs- Bed bugs are a pain to get rid of, and they’re notoriously difficult to detect. Look for signs of bed bugs, including small blood stains on your sheets and strange bites that don’t heal. If you think you might have bed bugs, call a professional immediately to avoid a full-blown infestation. - Bees- Bees are generally not dangerous, but it’s important to be careful around hives and nests. If you see a beehive, leave it alone. If you see a swarm of bees, go inside and call a professional to take care of it. - Carpenter ants- Carpenter ants are dangerous because they can cause extensive damage to your home. If you see signs of carpenter ants, it’s best to call a professional. - Cockroaches- Cockroaches are not only a nasty pest to deal with, but they can also cause health issues. This is especially true if you have a young family and live in a humid climate. Be careful when dealing with roaches, as they’re known to carry disease. - Fleas- Fleas are nasty pests, particularly around pets and children. Look for black specks (known as flea dirt) on your floors and furniture and watch for signs of fleas on your pets. If you have fleas, call a professional immediately. - Spiders- While not all spiders are dangerous, it’s best to be careful. If you see a small, black spider, it’s probably a harmless house spider. If you see a large brown spider, it’s probably a brown recluse spider that can cause significant damage and even death if it bites you. - Termites- Like carpenter ants, termites can cause extensive damage to your home if you’re not careful. Look for small piles of dirt around your house, small holes in the wood, or cracked or crumbly-looking areas on the walls.

Set up a pest prevention plan with Bullseye Pest Management

A pest prevention plan will help keep pests out of your home. You can do simple things, like keeping your garden free of debris where pests can live and avoid bringing in pests on food items. When pests do get inside, follow a pest control plan to keep them from getting out of control. - Seal off entry points- Check your home for cracks, holes, and other places where pests can get inside. Seal off entry points with caulk or other sealants. - Clean up food sources- Get rid of any food sources that might encourage pests to stay in your home. Keep your kitchen clean, take out the trash regularly, and keep pet food in a container. - Seal off food sources- If you have pests in your home, it may help to seal off areas where they’re likely to be living. This can make it easier to get rid of them. - Keep pests out of your garden- If you have a garden, pests can be a big problem. Keep pests out of your garden by planting in pots, planting pest-resistant plants, and keeping your garden free of debris. - Use pest traps- Pest traps can be helpful in getting rid of pests in your home. For mice, use snap traps. For cockroaches, use glue traps or sticky boards. - If you have a serious pest problem, Bullseye Pest Management can help you get rid of pests quickly and safely.

Identify and seal off entry points with Bullseye Pest Exclusion Work

If pests have already started getting into your home, Bullseye Pest Management can use exclusion work to seal off entry points. This can be effective even if you can’t identify the entry point; you may be able to hear or smell pests from inside the wall of your house. - Seal holes in walls- If you hear pests inside the walls, you can try to seal off the holes where they’re getting in. Use steel wool to seal holes smaller than 1/4 of an inch, and caulk for larger holes. - Seal holes in the floor- Pests like rats, squirrels, and snakes can also get inside your home underneath the floor. If you see holes or scurrying noises underneath the floor, seal them off with steel wool. - Seal gaps in the ceiling- You may be able to seal off pests in the ceiling by covering gaps around pipes. Use steel wool or caulk to seal off these holes. - Limit access to the roof- If you have pests such as squirrels or birds living on your roof, you can limit their access with simple barriers. - Seal off vents- Squirrels and rats can often get inside through vents. Seal off vents with steel wool or caulk.

Get rid of any existing pests with Bullseye Pest General Treatment

If you have pests in your home and don’t want to wait for an appointment to seal off all of the entry points, you can use general treatment to get rid of them for now. - Use sticky traps- Sticky traps can be helpful in catching smaller pests such as roaches, mice, and ants. They’re best used in conjunction with another treatment method. - Use poisons- You can use poisons to kill off pests, but they can be dangerous to pets and humans. Follow the instructions carefully, keep kids and pets away from the area, and call a professional if the pests don’t go away. - Sprinkle cedar shavings- Cedar shavings can help repel pests such as fleas and mice. Sprinkle cedar shavings in corners and other areas of your house where pests like to live.

Cow Killer wasp Bullseye Pest Management 002

The Red Velvet Ant is not an Ant nor does it Kill Cows

Here we have pictured the rather stunning looking "red velvet ant" - also know as the "cow killer" - which is not an ant at all but one of variety of velvet wasps common to the Texas region.

While the males have wings and no stingers, the ground-based females having no wings and instead have stingers, the pain of which has derived the nickname "cow killer"; a sting so painful, it could "kill a cow." However, this name is colloquial and there are no know recorded instances of actual cow death from the sting of the "red velvet ant."

These wasps have parasitic and complicated breeding requirements and can be eliminated altogether by simply not allowing the right conditions for them to reproduce.

For custom treatment based on your needs and area, rely on Bullseye Pest Management. Call or text locally at 682-472-4435 or call toll free from anywhere across DFW and beyond at 800-466-4451.

Ground Dwelling Hornets by Bullseye Pest Management

For correct Pest Management you need accurate Pest Diagnosis. Would you have known what this was? Rely on Bullseye Pest Management owner and operator, certified applicator Steve Moseley for decades of experience in seeing just about everything.

Ground Nesting Hornets in Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas

"Very unusual! So, that is a ground dwelling hornet, that has decided to go up 8 feet high - I've seen it before in weep holes, things like that, usually areas close to the ground, within two to three feet, small openings, weep holes, other areas that allow access into wall voids but close to the ground level - that's obviously at the soldier bricks on the inner fascia. It's not a paper wasp nest, obviously, anyone that's seen a variety of paper wasps nests knows that's not what that is - but, it's the exact same paper, of the, insects, do exactly like the paper wasp but, it's not, it's ground dwelling hornet."

"It almost looks like artwork to me, by comparison, you don't see the cells and things like you would with a regular paper wasp. The ground dwelling hornet is generally building this death star type of thing inside that void that is usually the size of a basketball, and within that thing will be multiple layers that will contain the cells for like, raising their young, and things like that. This is a pretty rare thing - this, it's pretty tripped out."

What can look impossible in nature can often be something simple but unexpected. Call Steve at Bullseye Pest Management locally at 682-472-4435 or toll free from anywhere across DFW and beyond at 800-466-4451 for accurate identification and the best treatment.

Texas Garden Spider pic by Bullseye Pest Management

Do you know what spiders to save? One of the most common spider in North Texas is also one of the more beneficial and should be saved whenever possible.

For professional and effective pest control of the highest caliber and strong ethics, call Bullseye Pest Management in Arlington locally at 682-472-4435 or toll-free from all over the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex at 800-466-4451.

Let's from Certified Applicator and business Owner / Operator Steve Moseley about this beneficial spider.

"The classic Texas garden spider. Fairly common in the South Arlington and Mansfield area. Those guys usually live for about a year, and are very beneficial to have in your garden, or other area around the home. They will catch a multitude of different insects in their very large web that contains unique zigzag designs unlike any other spider in our area. If there's one spider that customers request to leave unharmed, it's the garden spider. And, to the best of my ability I always avoid the area in which they reside. Allowing them plenty of space will enable them to weave webs that sometimes exceed twelve feet in diameter, provided there are available anchor points. Although they do come in a few different colors, the black, white, and yellow variations seem to be the most common."

Carpenter Ant Bullseye Pest Management

Carpenter Ant Video by Bullseye Pest Management

Knowing what kind of ant you're looking at is important for understanding the bigger picture of what the infestation is and how to treat it, but also how to manage and prevent it.

Bullseye Pest Management is available to help you with your ant problem. Certified Applicator and owner / operator Steve Moseley had this to say about this particular lone ant, and how he was an indication of a bigger concern.

"This video is a lone scout Carpenter Ant. Taken while performing a Wood Destroying Insect Report for a customer. An important and recognized wood destroying organism by the Texas Department of Agriculture, the carpenter ant often makes galleries in the wood to raise their younglings. Easy to identify, the carpenter ant is one of the largest ants we have in our area. Paying close attention to the foliage around the property that is next to the structure when treating will insure complete control, as these ants are often found in with shrubs and trees, etc."

Acrobat Ant Bullseye Pest Management

Acrobat Ants by Bullseye Pest Management

What kind of ant is that? Most people would simply say "red ant" but there are different variations of ants with different habits and motivations.

Bullseye Pest Management can accurately diagnose your ant infestation so that the best treatment is applied. Certified Applicator and owner / operator Steve Moseley was able to track this ant infestation back to its source, and had this to say about these Acrobat Ants:

Acrobat Ants in Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas

"The first video is Acrobat Ants that have infested the eaves and soffit areas of the customer's home. When disturbed, they come out to investigate by the thousands, including the swarmer’s, or winged reproductive casts. The sight can be a little overwhelming for some home owners to witness, but the control measures are usually effective within an hour or so."

What can look like an ant infestation might actually be termites or other indications of Wood Destroying Insects. Call Steve at Bullseye Pest Management locally at 682-472-4435 or toll free from anywhere across DFW and beyond at 800-466-4451 for accurate identification and the best treatment.

Bullseye Pest Management DFW Texas Brown Tarantula

Texas Brown Tarantula Sighting in DFW

Wanna guess the most common spider in the South? That is exactly what you’d think... a Texas Tarantula! (Or Texas Brown Tarantula, Oklahoma Tarantula, etc.) The Aphonopelma Hentzi. For professional and effective pest control of the highest caliber and strong ethics, call Bullseye Pest Management in Arlington locally at 682-472-4435 or toll-free from all over the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex at 800-466-4451.

This is what Certified Applicator and business Owner / Operator Steve Moseley has to say about them:

"Although they say that tarantulas are fairly common, and we have about a dozen or so species here in Texas, I have never encountered one on a job in over two decades... Until I happened upon that big fella hanging out in the corner above a window."

Bullseye Pest Management has proprietary methods and decades of experience to handle such spiders.

He continues "Their bite isn't normally something to worry about for humans, but they sure look formidable." The Texas tarantula is not typically aggressive. When they feel threatened they will rear up on their hind legs and raise their front legs. Most of the time they live safely in a borrow.

"The funny thing about this spider is it came from a customer that insists I treat the exterior of her home every month, no matter what because she is afraid of spiders! I won’t tell her if you don't! I’m sure she would faint if she knew." The Texas tarantula can have a leg span in excess of 9 inch and can weigh 3 ounces as a full adult.

"That's also a learning point about spiders... even though I've got a really good residual around this lady's home, the spider managed to crawl through the yard and up the side of the house to hang out in the corner of the window. So, liquid applications of insecticides / pesticides help in many ways with spider activity, such as eliminating their primary food sources... all the other bugs! But, spiders can sometimes come away unharmed by these treatments because they don’t groom themselves, or their young which is one of the ways these products work... involuntary ingestion."

If you're concerned about the spiders that might be on your property, please call Bullseye Pest Management locally at 682-472-4435 or toll free from anywhere across DFW and beyond at 800-466-4451.

They can be found on every continent except Antarctica and ⅓ of the Katydids are in tropical climates. The Katydid was previously known as the long horn grasshopper and is approximately 4-6 cm long.

They are nocturnal and are attracted to bright lights. They mainly like to eat eucalyptus, acacia shrubs and flax lilies as well as some small insects.

• Reproductive
• Territorial
• Aggressive
• Defensive.

However it may be, the Katydid is named for its song.

Black Widow Spider – Bullseye Pest Management

Here we have one of the most commonly feared spiders, the Latrodectus [ lăt′rə-dĕk′təs ], or Black Widow. With 31 species, there are 3 groups in North America. The Southern Black Widow is the most common living Black Widow in the DFW Metroplex. Their described as being black and having a red hour-glass marking on the abdomen.

These females grow to about a half an inch long. Making them hard to locate. Certified Applicator and Owner / Operator Steve Moseley of Bullseye Pest Management knows all the different places that spiders may hide and can provide you with expertise and experience in the field.

Black Widows are all female, given the name because they are believed to eat the male after they are done mating. At least that is the myth. In reality, this supposed cannibalism is merely the Black Widow poisoning an insect in her web. The males that survive run after doing the deed. No hard feelings, 'kay?

The males are about half the size of the females. The females typically live 180 days, while males live about a third of that time. Some of the Black Widows in the American South have lived up to 3 years in the wild, or 4 years in captivity!

Black Widows commonly nest under wood piles and in dark corners, areas where there is little activity or there are no drafts, such as attics, garages or basements. If you do not want to find Black Widows on your property, a good thing might be to hire an exterminator. At half an inch, that is a small (and poisonous) spider to miss. Though their bite is not specifically fatal, death can arise as a complication to other results of Black Widow bites such as organ failure and necrosis.

If you contact Steve Moseley, you can most likely get a free estimate over the phone and if you provide a photo or video, the estimate will be even more accurate.
